Here are some suggestions to prepare for your upcoming conversation with your doctor
- Before you go, make a list of what you want to discuss and prioritize your concerns. Consider printing out the discussion guide above, or save it on your phone
- At the start of your appointment, let your doctor know what you want to achieve
- Tell your doctor about your current medications, vitamins, or supplements you may be taking
- Be sure to mention any new medications you are taking
- Also note any related symptoms you may be experiencing
- Consider writing down a list of your medications, or bring them in with you
- Be prepared to discuss your medical history; jot down anything you specifically want to discuss with your doctor so you don’t forget
